While endorsing the project, Atishi emphasized its significance in enhancing the durability of roads in east Delhi and improving the overall aesthetics of the area. She highlighted the commitment of the Kejriwal government to ensuring the safety of commuters and providing them with a pleasant experience while traversing the city’s roads.
The identified roads for the makeover include road number 109 – stretching from Sapera Basti to Khoda Chowk, Dallupura Road – extending from Timber Market to Noida Border, and Buddha Singh Marg – running from Manav Ashray Kat to Dallupura T-Point.
Atishi elucidated the systematic approach adopted by the government to address the key issues affecting road conditions in the city. Specialists conduct thorough assessments, utilizing modern techniques for maintenance and strengthening, with a focus on enduring heavy traffic and varying weather conditions.
Highlighting the necessity for maintenance due to the age of the constructed roads and the impact of cable and pipe laying activities by civic agencies on riding quality, Atishi emphasized the commencement of maintenance and beautification work. PWD officials have been directed to adhere to specified timelines and safety guidelines to minimize inconvenience to travelers.
