The vibrant and culturally rich heart of Delhi, Lodhi Estate, witnessed a spectacular celebration of artistic talent at the 12th Annual Paintings Exhibition, ‘Artism 2023,’ hosted by MAFAC (Maharaja Academy of Fine Art & Craft) and WellDone Art Academy at Alliance Francaise de Delhi. The event, spanning two days from November 25 to 26, was a captivating showcase of creativity, featuring the works of 155 talented children and seasoned artists.
The exhibition commenced with a preview on Saturday, November 25, setting the stage for the official inauguration on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Distinguished guests, Ms. Manisha Saxena (Director General: Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India) and Mr. Vinod Rai (Former CAG of India), inaugurated Artism 2023 at 11 am. The spotlight of the event was on the young artists mentored at the academy, who astounded the audience with their artistic brilliance.
Mr. L R Gandhi, President of MAFAC, added a seasoned touch to the vibrant collection with his precious artworks themed on the famous Ghats of Banaras. The inauguration ceremony featured the presentation of Appreciation Trophies and Certificates by the dignitaries, recognizing the hard work of all participants.
Artism 2023 showcased the commitment of MAFAC and Well-done in nurturing artistic expression, particularly in children. The founders, Mr. L.R Gandhi and Mrs. Gandhi, along with their daughter, Amita Kaur Taluja, have played a pivotal role in organizing various art shows, workshops, and seminars to promote art, not only in India but also internationally.
