A monthly art symposium organised at ‘Kala Sankul’, the central office of Sanskar Bharati, in New Delhi, created a vibrant platform for dialogue between art, ideas, and society. The March session witnessed meaningful exchanges on diverse aspects of creativity and artistic expression.

The programme began with a captivating Kathak performance by noted dancer Sneha Sharma, who highlighted the elegance and emotional richness of Indian classical dance. The presentation set the tone for the evening with its grace and expressive storytelling.

This was followed by an energetic Sambalpuri folk dance staged by the Kala Kalp Cultural Institute. The performance showcased the diversity and vibrancy of India’s folk traditions.

The performers, including Sudharani Geru, Supriya Pradhan, Dishita, Subhashree Sahu, Deepshikha, and Ipshita Behera, delivered a lively and engaging act that resonated well with the audience.

The symposium also featured writer and thinker Ashish Kumar Anshu as the chief guest and speaker.

Addressing the theme ‘Indian Art Discourse and the Role of the Artist in Nation Building’, he shared thought-provoking insights into how art contributes to shaping society.

Ashish Kumar Anshu also made the session interactive. He encouraged participants to engage in open discussions and share their perspectives. This enriched the overall experience.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from art enthusiasts, intellectuals, and young attendees.

Kuldeep Sharma conducted the programme smoothly, ensuring a seamless flow of activities.

Several contributors, including Sneha Mukherjee, Garima Rani, Shraboni Shah, Ritambhara, Shyam, Brijesh Mrityunjay, Lavanya Sinha, and Ruhi Jaiswal, played a key role in successfully organising the symposium.
