Army Soldier Found Dead On Tracks at Ambala Cantt Railway Station, Head Crushed And Leg Missing

A deceased Army soldier was discovered near Ambala Cantt Railway Station on Thursday, with severe injuries including one arm and leg missing, and his head crushed, said the officials. The soldier was identified as U K Yadav, hailing from Nathkheda village in Uttar Pradesh’s Rai Bareli district. He held the rank of Naik in the Army and was stationed at Ambala Cantonment.

While the initial investigation suggested it might have been an accident, authorities haven’t ruled out the possibility of suicide. The Government Railway Police surmised that the incident occurred late at night on Wednesday when the soldier might have been crossing the tracks and was hit by a passing train.

The police found the soldier’s left arm, shoulder, and left leg severed, and his head and chest crushed due to the train’s impact. The soldier’s identity was established through a diary recovered from his pocket, as no railway ticket was found on him.

Upon receiving information about the incident in the morning, the Railway Police Control Room promptly took action. The police sent the soldier’s body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination and informed his relatives about the tragic event.

Last year, another distressing incident occurred at Ambala Cantonment railway station where a man was deliberately pushed onto the railway track. The victim, Mohinder, hailed from Chandrapuri, worked as a sanitation supervisor. The accused, identified as Ajeet, was standing on platform 1 at the time he suddenly pushed Mohinder while a train was passing by. As a result of the forceful shove, the victim became entangled between the moving train and the platform. Shockingly, Ajeet went even further, kicking Mohinder to ensure he fell onto the track.
