Army Officer’s Fiancee Thrashed, Flashed At Odisha Police Station: Opposition Reacts Sharply

Prominent figures, including Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, as well as retired Army chief General VK Singh, have strongly condemned the alleged torture of an Indian Army officer and sexual assault of his fiancée at a police station in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Their outrage echoes widespread public concern and demands for accountability and justice.

Army officer and his fiancee was allegedly mistreated by cops at a police station in Bhubneswar, Odisha. The female victim was allegedly kicked in chest and sexually assaulted by police personnel at station.

State’s BJP government is facing widespread criticism while CM Mohan Charan Majhi assured of stringent action against culprits.

Express dismay over the incident, Rahul Gandhi said that the ‘heinous incident’ is shame of humanity. Another Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, reacting to the unfortunate incident, said that the entire country was ‘shocked’. She wad referring to the development occurred at Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar.

Former Chief of Defense Staff VK Singh expressed his anger on the incident describing it as ‘shameful and horrendous’.

Odisha polish crime branch has registered FIR against five police personnel including inspector in charge of Bharatpur police station, involved in sexual assault of the women.

The police personnel were suspended following the case coming to the light.
