“Appeasement politics is the biggest hurdle in our country’s progress…”: PM Modi

The largest obstacle to the nation’s advancement is appeasement politics, and those who engage in them are unable to recognise the horror and immorality of terrorism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday.
“The largest obstacle to the advancement of our nation is appeasement politics…”Those engaged in appeasement politics are blind to the horror and wickedness of terrorism,” Prime Minister Modi remarked following his commemoration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat.
According to Modi, those engaged in appeasement politics readily align themselves with those who oppose human principles.

They attempt to obstruct investigations into acts of terrorism and have a lenient stance towards anti-national groups. They even go so far as to defend terrorists in court. Such components can never advance the nation or be advantageous to it, he continued.

People still remember the days when they avoided crowded places at all costs. Markets, public spaces, celebration locations, and centers of economic activity were all intended to obstruct the country’s progress. People have seen the destruction left behind by bomb explosions and have noted the careless actions of the previous government during inquiries. You and the nation won’t go back to those days; instead, by working together, we can stop similar incidents from happening,” he declared.

While attending a dangerous stunts event staged by women troops of the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) at Ekta Nagar as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas festivities, the Prime Minister made reference to the Iron Man of India’s unwavering commitment to internal security. Notably, Sardar Patel—who is regarded as the CRPF’s founder—had visions that were followed in the formation of the central force.

With a clear nod to the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), a coalition of twenty-six opposition parties, Modi remarked, “My dear countrymen, the country is in the mood for elections.” General elections are scheduled for next year, and many states are getting ready for them. It’s possible that you’ve noticed that a sizable portion of the political class lacks effective political strategy. Regretfully, this group participates in actions that go against the will of the people and the country.

“They have no qualms about undermining national unity in order to further their own self-interest. You therefore have a vital role to play in the face of these difficulties, my brothers and sisters. They want to split our country in order to gain political clout. We need to keep an eye out for these forces. For their benefit, we cannot jeopardise the integrity of our nation,” he continued.

He emphasised Patel’s role in India’s national cohesion and stated that, in spite of differences in language, state, and culture, all Indians are bound together by a strong sense of national identity. He declared, “The principles of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat are represented by the Statue of Unity.”

The Prime Minister referred to the Republic Day Parade on the Kartavya Path and the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort as the “trinity of national pride” and compared them to the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas held at the Statue of Unity beside the Narmada River.

“People devoted themselves to serving the country for twenty-five years prior to independence. The next 25 years of Amrit Kaal have given us the chance to once more serve the country with the same fervor for a thriving India, Modi stated.
