Anurag Thakur Criticizes Rahul Gandhi, Claims Constitution In Hand Exposes Congress’s Anti-Constitutional Activities

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, regarding the latter’s display of the Constitution. Anurag Thakur questioned Gandhi’s familiarity with the Constitution, asking, “Have you ever read this copy of the Constitution? Do you know how many pages are in the copy of the Constitution that you are waving in your hands?” He accused the Congress party of destroying the essence of the Constitution.

Anurag Thakur did not stop at questioning Rahul Gandhi’s knowledge. He went further, saying, “Rahul Gandhi ji, instead of waving the copy of the Constitution, read it. The Congress has continually insulted the Constitution. Does the copycat Rahul Gandhi know how many pages are there in the Constitution? If he had so much intelligence, he would have read it first. The Congress and the Gandhi family have always insulted the Constitution. Now, he has started carrying a copy of it.”

Describing the actions of the Congress as detrimental to the Constitution, Anurag Thakur recalled the Emergency period, stating, “The Congress had already altered the country’s Constitution by imposing the Emergency. They separated the soul of the Constitution from it. The Constitution that Rahul Gandhi is holding describes the anti-constitutional deeds of the Congress.”

Anurag Thakur also targeted former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, a key Congress leader. He remarked, “The preamble of this Constitution states how Congress used to threaten the judiciary. While in power, Congress leaders would intimidate the judiciary with threats of dire consequences. In the edition of the Constitution that Rahul Gandhi has in his hands, it is documented that Indira Gandhi, the strong leader and former Prime Minister of the Congress, trampled the Constitution of the country by imposing Emergency.”
