“Amritpal Singh Should Run Away To Pakistan,” Expressed SAD Chief; “It Is Justified By Sikh History, ”He Added

Lok Sabha MP and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Chief, Simranjit Singh Mann said the absconding Pro-Khalistani leader, Amritpal Singh should run away to Pakistan instead of going for surrender. “He shouldn’t surrender, he should cross the Ravi river and go to Pakistan,” said Simranjit.

In addition to this, he mentioned that the government is oppressing the Sikh community. This statement has come after the intelligence says that Amritpal can surrender before Baisakhi. He might not surrender to the police but to the Akal Takht at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Takht Damdama Sahib in Bathinda, or Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib in Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar district.

“We went to Pakistan in 1984 too, haven’t we?” said Simranjit

Simranjit justified the statement by saying, “We went to Pakistan in 1984 too, haven’t we?” He said Amritpal Singh fleeing to Pakistan is “justified by Sikh history” because his life is in danger and the government is “oppressing us”.

This comment came in reference to the incidents in 1984 that resulted in the Anti-Sikh riots. In order to eliminate Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and other Khalistani terrorists, Indira Gandhi, then-prime minister of India, gave the order for Operation Blue Star. Her Sikh bodyguards subsequently murdered her, and the ensuing outrage over her passing gave rise to the 1984 Sikh Massacre.

Operation Blue Star’s commander, Lieutenant General KS Brar, had previously stated that there was a good chance Pakistan would have supported the Khalistani separatists and acknowledged the newly proclaimed independent state.

The chase is still on

Since March 18, the Khalistani rebel has been sought after by the Punjab Police. Amritpal Singh had to seek refuge from the pursuit in at least four separate states, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.

Amritpal Singh posted a video on YouTube eleven days after the manhunt began urging Sikhs worldwide to “unite for a larger cause.” He described the events that happened after the police crackdown on him started in the recording. According to sources who spoke to India Today, the video was filmed in Uttar Pradesh and disseminated through UK handles.
