Amit Shah To Flag Off BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ In West Bengal On March 2

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will flag off the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in West Bengal from Raidighi in South 24 Parganas on March 2, instead of the earlier March 1 schedule.

The BJP rescheduled the Raidighi Yatra due to Shah’s prior engagement in Mumbai, where he will pay homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur on March 1.

A BJP West Bengal state committee member explained that they postponed the Raidighi programme by a day for this reason.

Shah will arrive in Kolkata around 10 PM on March 1 from Mumbai and depart for Raidighi by special helicopter at 11:15 AM on March 2, reaching the Yatra venue around noon.

The ‘Parivartan Yatra’ will cover nine of the ten BJP organisational divisions in West Bengal, with no event planned from Kolkata itself.

Senior BJP leaders will join at various stages, including Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union Ministers JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Dharmendra Pradhan, former Union Minister Smriti Irani, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The Yatra will end with a major public rally at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the crowd.

The rally’s exact date is expected by the end of the second week or the start of the third week of March.

The rescheduling and participation of senior leaders underline the BJP’s strategic mobilisation for the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, aiming to energise party cadres and strengthen voter outreach across the state.
