Amit Shah Hails PM Modi’s Independence Day Speech As Roadmap For India’s Future

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 79th Independence Day address. He called it a roadmap that highlighted India’s progress over the past 11 years, its present strength, and a clear strategy for a prosperous future.

In a series of posts on X, Shah pointed to PM Modi’s bold plans. He cited the elimination of terrorists through Operation Sindoor, the protection of national infrastructure under Mission Sudarshan Chakra, and the goal of creating an infiltrator-free India via the High-Powered Demography Mission. He stressed that the Modi government remains committed to building a strong and secure nation.

Focus on Self-Reliance and Farmers’ Interests

Shah praised the PM’s push for self-reliance in nuclear energy, critical minerals, energy, the space sector, and jet engines. He welcomed the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana and the GST relief measures planned for Diwali, saying these steps will support small enterprises and ease citizens’ lives.

He noted that the new employment scheme will have a ₹1 lakh crore fund. First-time private-sector employees will get ₹15,000, while companies creating jobs will also receive incentives. The initiative will benefit about 3.5 crore youth and push India closer to self-reliance.

Economic and Security Boosts for the Nation

From the Red Fort, PM Modi also announced Next Gen GST Reforms as a Diwali gift. Shah said these reforms will help small industries, make essentials more affordable, and strengthen the economy, moving India toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy.

Shah hailed Mission Sudarshan Chakra as a historic security step. By 2035, key national sites will have advanced technology and weapon systems capable of both neutralising attacks and delivering counter-strikes. He said this will make national security impregnable.

Finally, Shah noted PM Modi’s tribute to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on its 100-year legacy of nation-building, discipline, and service.
