Amit Shah: Forces Struck 100 km Inside Pakistan; Highlights PM Modi’s Strong Leadership

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, on Saturday, praised the Indian armed forces for executing a ‘historic’ strike 100 kilometres inside Pakistan, targeting multiple terrorist training camps.

The operation, codenamed ‘Operation Sindoor’, was launched in retaliation to the 22 April terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.

Addressing a public event in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, Shah said, “The terrorists thought their threats would intimidate us, but all three wings of our forces- the Army, Navy and Air Force—gave a fitting response, stronger than they could have imagined.”

His statement highlighted the precision and coordination involved in the high-impact cross-border operation.

Operation Sindoor reportedly neutralised nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, known for targeting Indian civilians and security forces, operated these camps.

Shah confirmed that the strike penetrated 100 km into Pakistani territory, describing it as a bold and decisive act of self-defence.

Air Defence & Counterattacks

Following the Pahalgam killings, Pakistan responded with drone and missile attacks aimed at both military and civilian sites.

However, India’s advanced air defence systems successfully intercepted all threats.

“Under the leadership of PM Modi, our Air Defence System has become so perfect that none of the missiles or drones reached Indian soil,” Shah remarked, crediting technological progress and strategic foresight for preventing further casualties.

In addition to destroying the terror camps, India retaliated by striking 11 Pakistani air bases.

These attacks were carefully calibrated to dismantle Pakistan’s offensive air capability without causing civilian harm.

“We destroyed their capability of air attack,” Shah added, underlining the operation’s tactical sophistication.

The Home Minister expressed confidence in India’s defence establishment and its readiness to deal with any threat.

“Since PM Modi ji took oath, he has responded to every attack with such precision and strength that the entire world is watching in astonishment,” Shah said.

He concluded his address with a salute to the bravery and commitment of the Indian armed forces.

Issuing a stern warning to terrorist groups and their backers, Shah declared, “If any terrorist activity happens with the people of India, the response will be twice in strength.”

His comments underscored the government’s policy of proactive retaliation, deterrence, and national security prioritisation.

With ‘Operation Sindoor’, India has once again demonstrated its strategic depth, military capability, and political will to counter terrorism at its roots, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
