New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah commenced his two-day visit to Rajasthan on Sunday, in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Upon his arrival at Jaipur airport, he was greeted by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Shah’s itinerary included a road show in Sikar to kickstart the election campaign in the state.
Following his arrival at Jaipur airport, Shah proceeded directly to a hotel located at Jawahar Circle. There, he convened a joint meeting of the core committees representing five Lok Sabha constituencies: Churu, Jhunjhunu, Karauli-Dholpur, Nagaur, and Dausa. The BJP’s decision to field new candidates in these five seats was a significant aspect of the discussion, which primarily focused on campaign strategies.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, State President CP Joshi, state election in-charge Vinay Sahastrabuddhe, co-in-charge Vijaya Rahatkar, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Dr. Prem Bairwa, as well as former leader of opposition Rajendra Singh Rathore.
Subsequently, Shah proceeded to Sikar, where he conducted a road show as part of his campaign activities. Later in the evening, he returned to Jaipur to meet with various social organizations and convened a meeting of the State Core Committee. This committee included CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, both Deputy Chief Ministers, State President CP Joshi, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and other senior leaders of the state.

On the second day of his tour, Shah traveled to Jodhpur, where he convened a meeting of the Lok Sabha Core Committee and addressed a conference of BJP’s power center heads. Following these engagements, he departed for Delhi from Sikar in the evening.
