Amit Shah Attacks Rahul Gandhi Over Controversial Naxal-Linked Remark In Parliament

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticised Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha for sharing the slogan “Tum kitne Hidma maroge, ghar ghar se Hidma niklega”, calling it inflammatory and linked to supporters of Naxal ideology.

He said the slogan surfaced after the elimination of a notorious Maoist leader who had been wanted for multiple attacks on security forces.

Shah accused the Indian National Congress of maintaining a soft stance towards Naxal groups and providing them with indirect ideological backing over the years. He argued that such positions had encouraged extremist activities instead of discouraging them.

During the debate, Shah stated that Rahul Gandhi had interacted with individuals associated with Naxal sympathies on several occasions. He recalled a 2010 event in Odisha where Gandhi shared a stage with Lado Sikaka, who delivered a provocative speech.

He also mentioned a 2018 meeting in Hyderabad with Gummadi Vittal Rao, describing him as someone aligned with Naxal ideology.

Criticism of UPA-Era Policies

Shah criticised decisions taken during the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh. He said the National Advisory Council included individuals with alleged links to Naxal sympathisers, raising concerns about policy influence.

He further pointed out that authorities appointed Binayak Sen, convicted in a Naxal-related case, to a Planning Commission committee, and added that Jairam Ramesh supported the release of Mahesh Raut.

The Home Minister argued that certain schemes introduced during the previous government unintentionally boosted Naxal morale. He cited the case of Mahesh Raut, who had benefited from a government fellowship before being arrested in a Naxal-related case.

Shah referred to the 2010 Dantewada massacre, where 76 CRPF personnel lost their lives. He criticised the response of then Home Minister P. Chidambaram, calling it inadequate.

He also alleged that some groups celebrated the incident without facing strong condemnation.

Shah contrasted past approaches with the current government’s strict policy under Narendra Modi. He said the administration has adopted a zero-tolerance stance, combining security action, development, and technology to counter Naxalism.

He paid tribute to security personnel who sacrificed their lives in anti-Naxal operations and urged political parties to rise above differences to support the national mission against extremism.

Shah expressed confidence that the country is close to eliminating Naxalism and called for continued collective efforts to make India completely free from Left-Wing Extremism.
