The check bounce case involving film actress Ameesha Patel was successfully resolved during the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday. Ameesha Patel agreed to settle the outstanding amount, reaching a mutual agreement with the applicant, Ajay Singh. As per the agreement, Ameesha Patel offered Rs 2 crore seventy-five lakh to Ajay Singh, which he accepted. Subsequently, Ameesha Patel provided five checks of different dates to Ajay Singh for the payment of the agreed amount.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate First Class Digvijay Nath Shukla at the Ranchi Civil Court. Advocate Smita Pathak represented Ajay Singh during the proceedings.
It has been revealed that there was a case involving a bounced check against Ameesha Patel dating back to the year 2017. Allegations suggest that Ajay Singh transferred Rs 2.5 crore to Ameesha Patel’s account under the pretense of financing the film “Desi Magic”. Ajay Kumar Singh, who owns Lovely World Entertainment, initiated legal action against Ameesha Patel for alleged fraud when the film wasn’t produced and the funds weren’t returned. Ameesha Patel surrendered herself at the Ranchi Civil Court on June 17, 2023, about this case.
