Allahabad HC: The Allahabad High Court said in its order that all schools in the state will have to adjust 15 percent of the total fees charged during the year 2020 to 2021 school sessions.
Allahabad High Court: The parents who paid school fees during the Corona period have got a big relief from the Allahabad High Court. The High Court ordered on Monday that in the year 2020-2021, 15 percent of the total fees charged in all the schools of the state should be waived. This decision has been given by the bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and JJ Munir.
The parents had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court demanding a waiver of the fees deposited in the schools. All these petitions were heard on January 6 and the decision has come on Monday.
In fact, the operation of schools was completely closed during the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus epidemic in UP. Online classes were definitely organized in some districts. But despite this, the schools were collecting full fees from the parents.
In the petition filed in the High Court (Allahabad High Court), the parents said that during the lockdown in the year 2020-2021, private schools did not provide any service other than online tuition. Despite this, the schools collected many other charges including building fees and annual fees.

Waive off 15 percent fees school- court
The Allahabad High Court said in its order that all schools in the state will have to adjust 15 percent of the total fees charged in 2020-2021 in the next session. While the children who have left the school, 15 percent of their money will have to be returned. For this, the High Court has given two months’ time to all the schools in the state.
