Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday extended his birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 75, marking the occasion with a message of goodwill and unity.
Taking to X, he posted, “Heartiest birthday wishes to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and best wishes for a healthy, meaningful, harmonious, inclusive and positive life.”
His message joined a chorus of tributes from across the political spectrum, as the Prime Minister’s birthday became a moment of national celebration.
Celebratory events took place across the country, and the government rolled out major health and development programmes to mark the day.
On his birthday, Prime Minister Modi travelled to Bhainsola village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, where he laid the foundation stone for India’s first PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park.
The ambitious project is expected to significantly boost the textile industry and generate large-scale employment in the region.
In addition to the textile park, the Prime Minister launched two national health initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of women, children, and adolescents.
The government launched Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month) to strengthen the country’s preventive and curative healthcare systems, particularly in underserved areas.
The day also saw the launch of over one lakh health camps nationwide, making it the largest health outreach initiative in India’s history.
Running from September 17 to October 2, these camps will offer a range of services, including:
The programme will leverage both public and private healthcare infrastructure to ensure widespread access to care.
Additionally, blood donation drives have been launched, with donor registrations through the e-Raktkosh portal and engagement via the MyGov platform.
While Prime Minister Modi’s birthday brought a flood of greetings from political figures, including Akhilesh Yadav, the day also marked the beginning of impactful national programmes.
These efforts reflect the Prime Minister’s ongoing focus on inclusive development, public health, and grassroots welfare, reaffirming his government’s commitment to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
