Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav
Lucknow: Akhilesh Yadav stated on Saturday that Samajwadi Party governments have consistently operated with a broad vision for the nation and its people, while accusing the BJP of having a narrow-minded approach and impeding development efforts.
“Socialists have always operated with a broad vision for the country and its people. Conversely, the BJP administration has sought to hinder development activities,” said the SP president in a party press release. “The BJP’s thinking is narrow.”
He emphasized the contrast between the approaches of the Samajwadi Party and the BJP, stating, “The Samajwadi Party constructs robust highways capable of accommodating fighter jets to protect the country in emergencies, whereas the BJP merely flies paper airplanes.”
Yadav highlighted that socialist administrations have undertaken extensive development projects, the benefits of which continue to accrue to the country and its citizens. He noted the landmark achievement of constructing an airport for fighter jet landings on the Agra-Lucknow expressway, the country’s largest, underscoring its significance for national security across generations.
Pointing out corruption within the BJP government, Yadav mentioned the collapse of the Bundelkhand Expressway shortly after its inauguration, attributing it to alleged large-scale corruption in its construction, purportedly initiated by the prime minister.
He further accused BJP governments of initiating corruption from the outset of their plans, branding all of their programs and initiatives as “centers of loot and corruption.” Yadav specifically highlighted demonetization and electoral bonds as glaring examples of corruption.
