Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Highlights Operation Sindoor At IAF Combined Graduation Parade

Operation Sindoor: In a grand celebration of military discipline and national service, the Indian Air Force conducted its Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) on Saturday at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal, Hyderabad.

The event marked the successful culmination of pre-commissioning training for 254 cadets, who were formally inducted as officers into the Indian Air Force.

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), presided over the ceremony as the Reviewing Officer and conferred the President’s Commission upon the newly commissioned Flying Officers.

Addressing the parade, he also commended the cadets for their dedication and called upon them to embody the values of honour and service in their careers ahead.

Operation Sindoor highlighted as IAF’s finest moment

A key highlight of Air Chief Marshal Singh’s address was his reference to Operation Sindoor.

He further lauded the mission as a ‘shining testament’ to the Indian Air Force’s professionalism and strategic precision.

“Operation Sindoor stands as a shining testament to the unparalleled professionalism of the Indian Air Force. We have demonstrated our ability to deliver precise and decisive blows to the enemy,” Singh declared.

Stressing the importance of adapting to future threats, the Air Chief urged the officers to embrace the evolving nature of warfare.

“When you choose to serve the nation, you opt for a career that is not only demanding but also among the most rewarding and honourable. The future of warfare is complex, and aerospace power will remain central to it,” he stated.

The authorities awarded ‘Wings’ to nine Indian Navy officers, seven Indian Coast Guard officers, and one international trainee after they successfully completed their flying training.

Meanwhile, their presence highlighted the spirit of jointness and cooperation that underpins India’s defence strategy.

Ceremonial pride & family honour

The occasion was attended by proud family members, senior defence officials, and other dignitaries.

Spectators also witnessed a vibrant display of parade formations and aerial precision, celebrating the hard work and determination of the young officers.

Concluding his speech, the Air Chief further exhorted the officers to lead with courage, clarity, and integrity.

“As commissioned officers, you are the future of the Indian Air Force. Lead by example, uphold our core values, and be ready to respond to the call of duty at a moment’s notice,” he said.

The CGP not only marked a ceremonial milestone for the graduating officers but also reaffirmed the Indian Air Force’s vital and evolving role in safeguarding the nation, epitomised in missions like Operation Sindoor.
