‘After wiping off tears…’: AAP’s Raghav Chadha On I.N.D.I.A MPs’ Visit To Manipur

Raghav Chadha, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, praised the opposition’s I.N.D.I.A. or Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance delegation on Monday for traveling to the conflict-torn state of Manipur and said the mission’s representative MPs had returned “after wiping off the tears of the people of Manipur.”

Prior to the important meeting of the 21 MPs and the leaders of the Opposition bloc, conducted to inform the members about the Manipur situation and develop additional strategy for the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament, Chadha spoke to reporters. Sonia Gandhi, a prominent member of the Congress, and Mallikarjun Kharge, the party’s president, were also present.

After the meeting, according to Chadha, the bloc will inform Manipur about the Opposition’s upcoming move. After wiping away the tears of the Manipuris, an alliance has emerged. In the meeting today, the MPs will discuss the situation in Manipur  following that, we’ll let you know what we’re going to do next, he said. 21 I.N.D.I.A. MPs traveled to Manipur on Saturday to assess the situation there. Manipur is a state in northeastern India that has been experiencing civil turmoil since May 3.

The AAP MP also criticized the federal government for bringing the upcoming bill that will replace the federal government’s order on service control in Delhi. Chadha criticized the law as being undemocratic and claimed it was an attempt by the Bharatiya Janata Party to topple Arvind Kejriwal’s administration in the nation’s capital. “This not only violates the nation’s Constitution but also the rights of Delhi’s 2 crore residents. The BJP high command has decided to overthrow the Delhi government because they realize they are done in Delhi, the speaker claimed.

In anticipation of the bill, the AAP has issued a three-line whip to all of its Rajya Sabha members requiring them to be present in the chamber through August 4. The measure aims to replace an ordinance that invalidates a Supreme Court decision granting the Delhi government transfer and posting authority.

The INDIA Even though the central government has the necessary number of representatives in both Houses to enact the law, a faction previously stated that it will fight its approval.

Government criticized opposition

The government criticized the Opposition for “not letting” the Manipur discussion happen in the Parliament even though it announced that the Delhi Ordinance Bill will not be discussed today. “The government has kept up with the promise to speak on Manipur since nine days, but it has not been possible from the opposition,” said Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
