Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday extended birthday greetings to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, praising his leadership and governance while highlighting his efforts to drive development in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.

Taking to X, Shah posted, “Heartiest birthday wishes to Odisha Chief Minister Shri @MohanMOdisha. In line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision, you are continuously advancing public service and good governance in the state. I pray to Lord Jagannath for your successful and distinguished life.

Mohan Charan Majhi, who hails from Keonjhar district and belongs to the Santal tribal community, has risen through the ranks of politics with a strong grassroots background.

Beginning his public life as a sarpanch in 1997, his early experience has significantly shaped his governance approach.

He won his fourth consecutive term from the Keonjhar Assembly constituency in the 2024 elections and later assumed office as the Chief Minister of Odisha.
