Adani Foundation, through Project Sathvaro, organized a Rakhi Mela at the Adani Group Headquarters, aiming to empower artisans and promote their craft. The fair showcased creatively designed and handmade Rakhis. Artisans from Gujarat presented their creations at the two-day event. Adani Vidya Mandir students from Ahmedabad, along with the Blind People’s Association/Andhjan Mandal, Vastrapur, assisted in displaying and selling these beautiful Rakhis. The artisans sold Rakhis worth over Rs 1 lakh at the fair.

Diverse Rakhi Designs Attract Attention

The fair featured a variety of Rakhi designs including Crochet Rakhis, Embroidered Rakhis, Beadwork Rakhis, Thread Work Rakhis, Agate Stone Rakhis, Silver Filigree Rakhis, and Resin Art Rakhis. These diverse creations captured significant attention.

The event served as a platform for artisans from traditional crafts and local communities. Shilin Adani, Trustee of Adani Foundation and mentor of Project Sathvaro, congratulated the artisans on their success.

Indian festivals offer opportunities to promote traditional crafts and create sustainable livelihoods. Project Sathvaro, an initiative of Adani Foundation, focuses on uplifting artisans and preserving India’s rich heritage in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for economic growth, livelihoods, and cultural preservation.

Adani Foundation supports growth across all societal sections through initiatives like Sathvaro, skill development, and self-help groups.
