Actor Darshan Receives Surgical Chair In Jail As Cops Prepare To File Charge Sheet

Jailed authority has provided a surgical chair Darshan at Ballari Jail. He requested the chair after struggling to use the Indian-style toilet due to a spinal cord issue. Previously, Darshan had asked Prison DIG T.P. Shesha for a Western-style toilet facility.

This request came after he was transferred from Bengaluru Central Jail to Ballari Jail, following revelations of luxury treatment at the former location.

Home Minister G. Parameshwara stated that the decision lies with the prison authorities. He clarified that the government will not interfere, as they operate based on a prison manual. If requests are made, authorities will make decisions according to the rules. HM made statement as jail administration had given surgical chair to Darshan, a Kannada superstar. Additionally, they may need to file an application before the court for such facilities.

Meanwhile, the police team investigating the fan murder case, where Darshan is the second accused and his partner Pavithra Gowda is the prime accused, is set to file a charge sheet on Tuesday.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) consulted legal experts, considering the high-profile nature of the case. They are taking special care to present digital, scientific, and technical evidence. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports will also be included.

Furthermore, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayanand is closely monitoring the process. Darshan is expected to hire top criminal lawyers for his defense.

Meanwhile, the City Central Crime Branch (CCB) is investigating the luxury treatment Darshan received at Bengaluru Central Jail. Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Chandra Gupta will oversee this probe, which also includes investigating illegal activities inside the prison.
