Acharya Pramod Lashes Out At Rahul Gandhi After Abusive Remarks On PM Modi’s Late Mother During Bihar Rally

Acharya Pramod criticised Rahul Gandhi in strong terms after a man at the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ allegedly used offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother.

The remarks, made during a rally in Darbhanga, triggered sharp political reactions and widespread condemnation.

In a social media post directed at Rahul Gandhi, Acharya Pramod said that the Congress MP had crossed all limits by allowing such language on his platform.

He remarked that abusing the Prime Minister was one thing, but extending such behaviour to his late mother was an affront to Indian values.

Taking to X, Acharya Pramod posted, “This is India, where mothers are worshipped, even the enemy’s mother is respected. You must be around 55 years old by now. If you still haven’t understood this much, then you should quit politics. Why do you keep causing pain to your “grandmother’s” soul every single day?”

Pramod further addressed Gandhi with biting sarcasm, referring to him as ‘maha-murkhanand’ (great fool) and ‘mahamand buddhi’ (of poor intellect), underlining his disapproval of the political culture emerging from such rallies.

Political Storm Over Darbhanga Incident

The controversy erupted after a video went viral showing a man identified as Rafiq alias Raja, a resident, hurling abuses at PM Modi and his late mother during the opposition rally. He also raised slogans in support of Congress and RJD leaders.

The incident prompted police action, with an FIR lodged and the accused arrested.

The BJP launched a fierce counterattack on the opposition, accusing Gandhi and his allies of normalising indecency in public discourse.

Acharya Pramod’s remarks added further pressure on Gandhi, as voices from both inside and outside his party demanded accountability.

Critics argued that political leaders must ensure rallies do not become platforms for personal abuse.

The episode has deepened the political battle in Bihar, where opposition parties are seeking to challenge the BJP-led NDA.

However, the uproar over the incident has put Congress and its allies on the defensive, facing questions about the tone and tenor of their campaign.
