Former Congress leader and Peethadhishwar of Sambhal Kalki Dham, Acharya Pramod Krishnam, criticized the Samajwadi Party and Congress on Friday for staying silent about the gang-rape of a 12-year-old girl in Ayodhya.
On social media, Acharya Pramod posted, “Secularism’s ‘warriors,’ you won’t visit the Ram Temple, but at least go to Ayodhya to meet the 12-year-old girl who was gang-raped by a leader of your party.”
This shocking incident has caused widespread outrage. A 12-year-old Hindu girl was allegedly gang-raped by Moid Khan, a Samajwadi Party leader, and his servant, Raju Khan.
Reports indicate the crime happened over two months ago in the Purakalandar police station area of Ayodhya. The accused recorded the assault and threatened the girl. They continued to abuse her for about two months until her family discovered she was pregnant after taking her to a doctor for a stomach ache.
The Samajwadi Party leader, who owns a bakery in the area, allegedly lured the girl with a job offer. The police have arrested him and his servant.
The girl’s family accused the police of protecting Khan because of his political connections. On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke about the case in the Assembly, stating, “The accused belongs to the Samajwadi Party and is close to an MP, but the party leaders are not saying anything… The Samajwadi Party has not taken any action against him so far…”
