ABVP’s Student Parliament: A Vision For Education, Leadership & Nation-Building

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will host its much-anticipated Student Parliament at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi from March 9 to March 11, 2025.

Over the course of these three days, the event will bring together students, policymakers, academicians, and social activists to engage in crucial discussions on leadership, education, and the significant role of youth in nation-building.

As the event progresses, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, collaborate on solutions, and contribute to shaping the future of India through dialogue and action.

This platform will not only foster a deeper understanding of national issues but also empower the youth to take an active role in societal development.

A Platform For Diverse Voices

The event will feature three major sessions: the Tribal Student Youth Parliament on March 9, the Student Women’s Parliament on March 10, and the Northeastern Student Youth Parliament on March 11.

These sessions will focus on issues ranging from education and cultural preservation to women’s empowerment and regional development.

The first day, March 9, will be dedicated to the Tribal Student Youth Parliament, focusing on the educational and welfare challenges faced by students from over 124 tribal communities.

Key discussions will revolve around government welfare schemes, including Eklavya Model Schools and the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana.

Durga Das Uikey, Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, will engage with students to explore solutions and future reforms.

Moving forward, on March 10, the Student Women’s Parliament will center on the development of female students as the leaders of tomorrow.

With a strong emphasis on women’s education, safety, and career opportunities, this session will encourage in-depth discussions on how to enhance women’s roles in India’s growth and development.

Further enriching the conversation, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar will lead the dialogue on empowering women through education and leadership.

As the event progresses, the final session on March 11 will shift focus to the contributions and challenges faced by youth from Northeast India.

Key topics such as regional development, cultural exchange, and the crucial role of youth in national progress will take center stage.

To conclude the event, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will engage with students to discuss economic empowerment and governance in the Northeastern states, ensuring that the diverse voices and concerns of this region are heard and addressed.

ABVP’s Vision: Youth As The Future Of India

ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki emphasized that the Student Parliament will serve as a platform for students to voice their concerns and contribute to national policy-making.

The event will conclude with a session led by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, highlighting the resolutions and commitments made during the discussions.

This Student Parliament is a step toward empowering India’s youth, ensuring their active participation in shaping the nation’s future.
