AAP Minister Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain Resign From Their Post

Delhi ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain today have tendered their resignations from the Delhi cabinet. CM Arvind Kejriwal has accepted their resignation.

Deputy CM was handling the responsibility of 18 departments including the education department. While Satyendra Jain was the Health Minister in the Kejriwal government, he is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in a money laundering case.

Earlier today, the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister had moved the apex court against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

On Sunday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, in connection with an alleged scam related to the excise policy of the Delhi government.

The CBI showed much evidence of Manish Sisodia during interrogation. When he was asked about this evidence, he could not give any answer. Sisodia is also accused of destroying several pieces of evidence in the excise scam case.

A Supreme Court Bench led by Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud has refused to intervene in Manish Sisodia’s case and asked him to avail alternative remedies.
