A Mysterious Twist In The Charming “18 Years Love Story”: Malaika-Arbaaz

Malaika Arora talks about proposing to Arbaaz Khan, and Farah claims everything was going great between them until Dabbang.

Malaika Arora, a Bollywood actress, gets along well with Arbaaz Khan, her ex-husband. They got married in 1998, and nearly 18 years later, they were formally divorced. The actress discussed her relationship with her ex-husband Arbaaz Khan in her first episode of Moving In With Malaika.

Malaika revealed that the sole reason she married Arbaaz was to leave her home. Malaika even admitted to Farah Khan that she was the one who had suggested Arbaaz during their conversation. “I’m the one who got Arbaaz engaged. Nobody is aware. It was not Arbaaz who proposed to me. It was the other way around. I actually said, ‘I want to get married. Are you ready?’ Very sweetly he (Arbaaz) actually turned around and told me, ‘You pick the day and the place.’”

Malaika added further about what went wrong in their marriage, “I was extremely young. I also modified. I have several aspirations for my life. And I believe that we are genuinely better individuals now. According to her, things between them were well up until the release of Dabangg, but after that “they became very irritated people and started to drift apart.” Farah concurred that after Dabangg, they began to drift apart.

Malaika concluded by stating that Arbaaz Khan is a nice person and recalling the moment he supported her following her operation. “Arbaaz was actually one of the first faces I saw as I was carried out at that time. And he repeatedly asked, “Can you see?” How many digits? The number of fingers. And I thought, “Why is he acting in this way?” It was quite odd. I briefly wondered, “Have I travelled through time?” One thing that really stands out is the way he behaved in trying circumstances. You know that regardless of what may have happened in the past, present, or future, jo bhi ho (whatever happened), he was there.”

Arbaaz Khan and Malika Arora were married in 1998. Arbaaz-Malaika made a shocking separation announcement in March 2016, and they divorced legally in May 2017. But the couple is still sharing parenting duties with their son Arhaan Khan. Malaika is rumoured to be dating Arjun Kapoor since a few years ago, while Arbaaz Khan has reportedly found happiness with Giorgia Andriani.
