On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two Vande Bharat Express trains in Chennai and Hyderabad as well as inaugurate a number of development projects.
At 11.45 am, PM Modi will make his first stop in Hyderabad, Telangana, where he will flag off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express and lay the foundation for projects worth more than Rs 11,300 crore.
According to the media, Modi will also take part in a public gathering at Hyderabad’s Parade Ground.
The Prime Minister will officially lay the foundation on five National Highway projects totaling more than Rs. 7,850 crores, including AIIMS Bibinagar. More than Rs. 1,350 crores is being spent on the construction of AIIMS Bibinagar.
Also, he will lay the groundwork for the 720 million rupee reconstruction of Secunderabad Railway Station.
In less than three months, Telangana has launched a second Vande Bharat train, the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express. For those traveling to the Lord Venkateswara temple, the train will be especially helpful since it will cut the distance between the two cities’ journey times by approximately three and a half hours.
In the Hyderabad-Secunderabad region, Modi will also launch 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) routes. According to a news release from Railways, it would offer commuters a quick, practical, and comfortable mode of transportation.
The doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar project, which was finished at a cost of roughly Rs. 1,410 crores, will also be dedicated to the nation. The project would provide seamless communication and help to increase the average train speed.

Around 3 p.m., the Prime Minister will arrive in Chennai and officially open the airport’s cutting-edge integrated terminal building, which cost a total of Rs 2,437 to construct. According to the media, the new terminal will increase annual passenger volume to 35 million.

The new terminal, which spans 2.20 lakh square metres and has 108 immigration desks, will accommodate Tamil Nadu’s expanding aviation traffic.
“With the annual passenger handling capacity of 35 million passengers, the modern facility at the Chennai Airport will improve air travel experiences for all,” the Ministry of Civil Aviation said.
Following that, Modi will signal the departure of the Vande Bharat train between Chennai and Coimbatore at the Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. MGR Central Railway Station.
Every day except Wednesdays, the Vande Bharat Express train will run between the two cities.
According to Southern Railway, the train will travel at a speed of 130 kmph and complete the trip in roughly 5.50 hours, cutting the travel time by more than an hour.
Later, Modi would attend the 125th annual Ramakrishna Mutt celebrations at Vivekanandhar Illam on the famous Kamarajar Salai (Beach Road) and also dedicate infrastructure projects at Pallavaram.
