4 Union Ministers Charged With More Powers After BJP MPs Who Won Assembly Elections Resigned

Following their election to the state assembly of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, three federal ministers—Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Singh Patel, and Renuka Singh—resigned from the Union Council of Ministers on Thursday. President Droupadi Murmu accepted their resignations.

Arjun Munda gets Agriculture Ministry

In addition to his current position, Arjun Munda has been given responsibility for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, according to a Rashtrapati Bhawan communiqué. Tomar was the leader of this ministry.

In place of Patel, Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje has been assigned to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries in addition to her current portfolio.

Union Ministers gets additional charges

In addition to his current responsibilities, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Information Technology, has been designated as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Jal Shakti. Patel was also the head of the ministry.

In addition to her current duties, Minister of State Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Singh is replaced by her.
