Cusat fest in Kerala
During a concert on Saturday at Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat), there was a stampede-like event that resulted in at least four student deaths and over sixty injuries. When the incident happened, singer Nikhita Gandhi was on stage. The injured pupils were being transported to Kalamassery Medical College, according to Kerala Health Minister Veena George. According to officials, two boys and two girls were carried to Kalamassery Medical College dead upon arrival.
“The entire state is in shock over the stampede that unfolded at CUSAT University in Ernakulam,” chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote on X. Rajeev, and Higher Education, R. Bindu, have left for Ernakulam to personally evaluate the situation. Without delay, a comprehensive inquiry into the situation will get underway.
