3 Picnickers From Madhya Pradesh Perish In A Waterbody While Witnesses Record It And Yell, “Save Them!”

On Independence Day, a group of guys stood by photographing three picnickers who drowned in a body of water in MP’s Dewas district.

One of the witnesses attempted to help the trio but broke away as they proceeded to drag him down in a frantic attempt to save him. After that, no one ventured to enter the sea. Some of those who were seeing the atrocity were their pals.

In videos published on social media, some individuals can be heard shouting, “Bachalo yaar, koi to bachalo (someone please save them)”.

An SOS could not be issued due to the region’s inaccessibility. It had been two hours and the three buddies had died by the time the cops arrived. Yasin (26), Sufiyan (30), and Zafar (30) were all from Indore.

Uday Nagar police station is in charge. According to Ajay Gurjar, the trio, and a dozen other pals drove to Bhairav Kund, 45 kilometers outside Indore, on Tuesday. They were swimming in the lake when one of them began to drown. Two others swam towards him to save him, but they drowned as well.

A youngster can be seen in a social media video attempting to save them, but one of them begins to pull the rescuer down. He returned to save himself. Their friends, other picnickers, and even locals continued to yell for assistance, but no one could muster the guts. As cameras recorded, the trio submerged one by one.

According to an official, the first contact was received over two hours later due to network troubles. The control room received a call at 7:30 p.m., according to State Disaster Emergency Response Force platoon commandant Rohan Raikwad. They discovered the bodies late at night.

Gurjar stated that the bodies were returned to the relatives following a post-mortem examination on Wednesday.

“This waterfall is in a forest”, said Dewas collector Rishav Gupta.

“Two forest rangers stationed nearby had cautioned the boys, but they paid no attention. We have over 100 bodies of water in the district, and it is impossible to deploy police at all of them”, he added.
