Sharing his remark ahead of the first session of 18th Lok Sabha Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is historic as the MPs will take oath in new Parliament building and that the government is elected for straight 3 terms after 60 years.
PM also lauded the higher number of young MPs in the latest Lok Sabha.
In an apparent attack on opposition ahead of the first session, PM recalled the era of Emergency. He said, “25 June is unforgettable for those who believe in democracy and constitution.”

Recalling the 21-month period of emergency implemented in 1975, Modi said, “Tomorrow is 25th June. 25th June marks 50 years of the blot that was put on the democracy of India. The new generation of India will never forget that the Constitution of India was completely rejected, every part of the Constitution was torn to pieces, the country was turned into a prison, and democracy was completely suppressed,” as 18th Lok Sabha begins.
Hitting out at opposition PM said that people wants substance, not slogan. He further added that country hopes and expects the opposition to maintain the dignity of democracy.
PM assured the people that the government will work three times more in its third term. PM further added that the new government will deliver three times more.
