PIB Fact Check: ‘Quantum AI’ Investment Claim Using Nirmala Sitharaman’s Name Is Fake

A viral claim circulating on the internet is promoting a so-called ‘Quantum AI’ investment scheme using the name of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The claim has gained traction on social media platforms, raising concerns about potential financial fraud and misinformation.

Authorities have clarified that the claim is entirely false and misleading.

Officials stated, “This claim is FAKE,” emphasising that the Finance Minister and the Government of India have not endorsed any such investment scheme.

Official sources confirm that the Finance Ministry has no link to any ‘Quantum AI’ scheme.

“No such scheme is being endorsed by the Finance Minister or the Government of India,” the clarification added, urging citizens not to fall for such deceptive promotions.

The misleading content appears to be part of a broader trend where scammers exploit the names of prominent public figures to gain credibility and lure unsuspecting individuals into fraudulent schemes.

Authorities have strongly advised people to remain cautious while encountering such claims online.

“Beware! Always verify from official sources for authentic information,” the advisory stated, highlighting the importance of fact-checking before making any financial decisions.

Users should rely only on trusted government portals and verified communication channels to confirm the authenticity of any scheme or announcement.

The government has also urged citizens to play an active role in curbing the spread of misinformation.

“Help STOP misinformation If you come across any such misleading content related to the Government of India, report it immediately,” the statement said.

Rising Digital Fraud Risks

With digital fraud cases on the rise, officials stress that awareness and timely reporting are crucial in preventing scams and protecting individuals from financial losses.

This incident serves as a reminder for users to exercise caution while engaging with online investment opportunities.

Verifying claims, avoiding suspicious links, and reporting fake content can significantly reduce the risks associated with digital fraud.

The government continues to emphasise the need for vigilance and responsible online behaviour to ensure a safer digital environment for all.
