YRF- Yash Raj Films Takes A Break From Ranveer Singh After His Three Flops

After Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Ranveer Singh’s memorable debut, he was frequently regarded as the next big thing in Bollywood. Nonetheless, post-pandemic, Ranveer Singh’s history has been seriously impacted. His much-anticipated film ’83 (2021) fizzled at the ticket windows. Jayeshbhai Jordaar (2022) was a failure that only brought in Rs. 15.59 crores. Cirkus was also highly anticipated. Notwithstanding, the crowds were left unmoved. It finished its lifetime with Rs. 35.65 crores and a verdict of “Disaster”. Now YRF is not willing to work with Ranveer Singh.

YRF to not work with Ranveer Singh

There are rumors that Yash Raj Films (YRF), the company that introduced him to the industry, has decided not to work with him again—at least not right now.
“Aditya Chopra, the head of YRF, and his core team are heavily invested in the YRF Spy Universe at the moment. They have as of late conveyed an unsurpassed blockbuster with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (2023) and are preparing for the arrival of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. They are additionally arranging upcoming movies in this universe. A great deal is in question as each film will be vigorously planned, and consequently, there can’t be wiggle room. From pre-production to final distribution, each film requires the utmost concentration.

The source added, “In such a situation, a film with Ranveer Singh is the thing at the forefront of their thoughts. Naturally, they will also produce films outside of the spy universe. However, of the six films Ranveer has produced with YRF, only one has been successful. That’s Gunday (2014). Also, a semi-hit was this movie, Band Baaja Baaraat, Women Versus Ricky Bahl (2011), and Befikre (2016) were normal grosser. In the meantime, both Kill Dil (2014) and Jayeshbhai Jordaar failed.

Ranveer Singh’s work front with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

In contrast, a specialist in the field made the observation that “Ranveer Singh has delivered hits only with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.” Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), and Padmaavat (2018) were his three films with the director.
