Salman Khan was at his rawest during the Filmfare Awards press conference. The actor, who spoke with the media extensively at the event last night, was asked about competition from a younger generation of actors.
Salman Khan claimed that the younger actors work hard, but his generation’s five actors “will tire them out”.
He further said, “Ab five mein kaun hain (who are these five) – Shah Rukh, Aamir, me, Akki (Akshay Kumar), and Ajay (Devgn)”.
Listing SRK, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and himself, he continued, “We’ll give them a run for their money”.
Without naming names, the 57-year-old actor said during the interview, “Hum logo ke picturein chalti hai, hum price badha dete hai. Woh uske chakkar me, price badha dete hai, hume nahi milta. Kyu bhai (After the popularity of our flicks, we raise our rates. Now, in order to compete, these people raise their fees when we are not accessible for films. Why so) ?”
Salman Khan made a surprise appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster ‘Pathaan’ earlier this year. He is looking forward to the release of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
In addition, he appeared in the Mahesh Manjrekar film ‘Antim’, which also starred Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law. (married to Arpita Khan). He also disclosed the release date for Bajrangi Bahaijaan’s second season. The actor’s upcoming movies include Tiger 3 and Kick 2, both starring Jacqueline Fernandez. The movie will be released this year.
