Aditya Roy Kapur, who has a massive fan following across the nation, was recently harassed by a female fan at the recent screening of his upcoming show, ‘The Night Manager’. While Aditya managed to pull away, she attempted to kiss him again. The actor was left embarrassed after the incident and he can be seen trying to maintain a smile on his face in a video.
In a recent viral video on social media, a female fan approached Aditya Roy Kapoor for a selfie. After the picture was taken, she forcefully tried to kiss the actor on his cheek. The actor can be heard saying to his fan, “Arre, arre (oh)!” after she asked him ” eak kiss toh do”.
The actor gave a side hug to the fan and clicked pictures with her. The netizens flooded the comments section of the Instagram page Varinderchawla after it shared the video.
After this incident, Aditya hid his discomfort behind a smile, and social media users called out the woman. While one of the fans said, ‘Oh god! This kind of harassment is not right! What is wrong with people? Even though I like him but I won’t forcefully try to kiss him, that’s pure harassment!’, another commented, ‘Hello Lady, Covid is not completely over yet.’ A fan also commented, ‘If a man did the same, the post would be different.’Another one counted, “The way she is grabbing his neck… Thank god she is shorter than him.”
The Night Manager is an adaptation of John le Carre’s novel The Night Manager. Directed by Sandeep Modi, the new unreleased series got a desi touch. A British TV series by the same name was also made earlier in 2016. It also features Anil Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saswata Chatterjee, Ravi Behl and Tillotama Shome in important roles. The Night Manager is set for a digital release on February 17, on Disney+ Hotstar.
