Veteran Actor-Director Satish Kaushik Dies At 66, Anupam Kher Pays Tribute, “Life Will Never Be Same Without You”

Veteran Indian actor-director Satish Chandra Kaushik took his last breath at the age of 66, tweeted actor Anupam Kher in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to the officials, the actor passed away in Gurugram on March 8 due to a heart attack. After the postmortem is conducted, his body will be brought to Mumbai for his final rites.

Taking to Twitter, Satish’s friend, actor Kher extended his condolences and wrote in Hindi, “I know that death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I had not thought even in my wildest dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend someday. Such a sudden full stop to a friendship of 45 years!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH!”

After the sudden death, actress Kangana Ranaut also tweeted, “Woke up to this horrible news, he was my biggest cheerleader, a very successful actor and director #SatishKaushik ji personally was also a very kind and genuine man, I loved directing him in Emergency. He will be missed, Om Shanti.”

Taking notes from veteran actor Satish’s journey, he was born on April 13, 1956, and was an actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter. He graduated from Kirori Mal College and was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India. He has acted in films like Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and became a household name for his portrayal of Calendar in Shekhar Kapur’s Mr India.

Moreover, famous movies include Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Tere Naam, Kyon Ki, and most recently, Kaagaz with Pankaj Tripathi. He was last seen in Chhatriwali with Rakul Preet Singh. His upcoming film is Kangana’s Emergency, in which he plays Jagjivan Ram is on his directorial list.
