Tribute To The Legend: Khushi Kapoor Wears Sridevi’s Old Dress At The Archies Premiere

Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Sridevi, is gearing up to make her cinematic debut in The Archies. Khushi astonished everyone on Tuesday night at the movie premiere by donning the famous Kaufman Franco dress that Sridevi once wore. Zoya Akhtar is the leader of The Archies.

In her mother’s old sparkly strapless gown, Khushi looked stunning. She accessorised it with earrings and a necklace made of diamonds that belonged to Sridevi. She wore her hair in a tidy bun to complete the ensemble. Sridevi wore the same outfit to the 2013 IIFA Awards. Sridevi donned the jewels during the IIFA Awards in 2011.

Pictures of Khushi and Sridevi wearing the same outfit were shared on the social networking platform Diet Sabya for comparison. “And with due respect to the legend, it looks like Khushi wore and styled it better,” a person said in response to the image. “I can just imagine how empty they must be feeling. Another person said, “It probably gave her a sense of her mother’s presence on a very important day.” Another compliment to Khushi was, “She looks amazing! She’s the epitome of style—the shape, the fit, the colour! One of her greatest looks and a very touching homage to her legendary and iconic mother, Amma.

The premiere night was a star-studded event in Mumbai. From Shah Rukh Khan and his entire family to the Bachchan-Nanda clan, several celebrities arrived for the special screening. From Karan Johar to Juhi Chawla to Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and more, it was a full house.
