‘The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’ Trailer Launched; Makers Assert ‘We Will Not Remain Silent’

The team behind ‘The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond’ has unveiled the much-awaited trailer of the sequel. Vipul Amrutlal Shah has produced the film under the Sunshine Pictures banner.

The announcement was made across social media platforms, accompanied by a forceful message emphasising resistance.

In their post, the makers stated that the film speaks of betrayal, shattered trust, and stolen futures, adding that this time they refuse to stay quiet. They confirmed that the film will arrive in cinemas on 27 February 2026.

The trailer begins with a stark warning about the country’s possible future over the next quarter-century.

It then transitions to Rajasthan, where a grieving Hindu family files a complaint at a police station under the POCSO Act, claiming their teenage daughter was compelled to convert. The emotional distress of the parents forms the foundation of the narrative.

The storyline then moves to Madhya Pradesh, depicting a young Hindu woman who is allegedly misled into marriage and subsequently pressured to change her faith. Her experience is presented as another troubling episode within the broader theme.

The final segment returns to Kerala, where a Muslim man suggests a live-in relationship to his Hindu partner. When she refuses to alter her religious identity, the situation intensifies. This leads to confrontational moments that underline the film’s central tension.

Kamakhya Narayan Singh has directed the film, which stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in pivotal roles. Serving as a follow-up to the 2022 film The Kerala Story, the sequel continues to explore contentious and emotionally charged subject matter.

The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond is set to be released in theatres on 27 February 2026.
