Actors Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade’s starrer The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress is all set to release in cinemas worldwide on July 24, 2026.
MIG Productions and Studios made the announcement through its social media handles.
The film, directed by Chettan DK, will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the project has already generated attention with its intense poster and socially relevant subject.
Written and produced by Sagar B Shinde, the film focuses on the alarming consequences of chemical misuse, especially in pesticide farming, and its impact on public health.
The makers said the narrative goes beyond the story of an individual or family and reflects a larger crisis affecting countless lives across the country.
The recently released poster offers a glimpse into the disturbing yet important subject that the film aims to address, highlighting concerns around industrial negligence and the urgent need for awareness and accountability.
Following the release date announcement, the makers confirmed that the teaser of the film will be unveiled soon, offering audiences a deeper look into the hard-hitting world of The India Story.
The film also marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, with expectations high for their emotionally driven performances.
Backed by co-producers Sumit Bagade, Anita Jadhav, Vinayak Saidani, Kalpesh Shah, Devyani Khorate and Prem Joshi, the film features cinematography by Nishant Bhagwat, music by Mangesh Dhakde, editing by Ashish Mhatre, lyrics by Shakeel Azami and sound design by Anmol Bhave.
