Veer Savarkar Box Office Collection
The Randeep Hooda-directed biopic, “Swatantra Veer Savarkar,” continues to make waves at the Indian box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the film, which delves into the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, has garnered nearly ₹6 crore in India since its release on March 22.
On its opening day, the film raked in ₹1.05 crore (₹1.04 crore in Hindi and ₹1 lakh in Marathi). The momentum carried into the second day, with earnings totaling ₹2.25 crore, all from the Hindi version. The trend persisted on the third day, with an estimated ₹2.60 crore in collections, bringing the total to ₹5.90 crore.
Directed by Randeep Hooda, who also stars in the film alongside Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial, “Swatantra Veer Savarkar” is a collaborative effort by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, and others. The movie presents a cinematic rendition of the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, portraying his pivotal role in India’s independence movement.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal attended a special screening of the film in Mumbai, underscoring its significance. Randeep Hooda, discussing his involvement with the project, emphasized his commitment to dispelling misconceptions surrounding Savarkar’s legacy. Despite apprehensions about potential political affiliations, Hooda remained steadfast in his dedication to the film.
“Swatantra Veer Savarkar” stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of one of India’s most influential figures, shedding light on his untold journey and contributions to the nation’s freedom struggle.
