Swara Bhasker: A Haldi Ceremony That Turned Into Holi! Welcome To Festivities

“Here’s to celebrating all the colours of life together”, said Swara Bhasker while captioning her haldi ceremony on the 12th of March 2023.

The wedding festivities for actor Swara Bhasker and politician Fahad Ahmad have begun in Delhi. Swara posted pictures from her haldi ceremony after sharing photos and videos from the sangeet preparation and party.

Swara Bhasker married political activist Fahad Ahmad in court in January of this year. She recently informed her fans of the news via social media. The actress is having a traditional wedding ceremony in Delhi after registering her marriage.

She took to Instagram to share happy photos from her Haldi ceremony. Swara posted photos of herself posing romantically with Fahad, both of whom were smeared with different colours.

Swara posted photos of the floral haldi decor, captioning them, “And so it begins”. Later, the actor posted photos of herself and Fahad drenched in colour, with the caption, “Here’s to celebrating all the colours of life together. #SwaadAnusaar”.

Swara then shared a video of their Haldi ceremony turning into Holi, complete with gulaal in pink and purple smeared on everyone. “A Haldi ceremony that turned into Holi! Welcome to the festivities. #SwaadAnusaar has begun!”

According to reports, the couple planned to hold a small ceremony at Swara Bhasker’s maternal grandmother’s home in Delhi beginning March 12. Swara and Fahad’s pre-wedding ceremonies will be an eclectic mix of cultures. They intended to kick off the festivities with an elaborate sangeet ceremony, followed by a sundowner and a mehendi ceremony.

The following day, there will be a Carnatic music session, followed by the couple’s pheras. According to reports, there will also be a qawwali ceremony, with a setup similar to a ‘baithak’ for the guests. Swara and Fahad will also host a reception party in Delhi for their friends and family on the 16th of March 2023.
