On Sushant Singh Rajput's 4th death anniversary, his sister Shweta pleads for closure
On Sushant Singh Rajput’s Death Anniversary, his elder sister Shweta Singh Kirti reminisced about her “bhai” and voiced her feelings of helplessness, urging authorities to reveal the truth.
In an emotional message, Shweta appealed for one final effort from everyone to help the family achieve the closure they deserve.
On June 14, 2020, domestic help discovered Sushant dead at his Bandra, Mumbai residence and alerted the police. With reports suggesting suicide, they found him hanging at his home.
In remembrance of her younger brother, Shweta shared an old video on Instagram of Sushant enjoying time with his four sisters.
In the videos caption, Shweta wrote: “Bhai, it’s been 4 years since you left us, and we still don’t know what happened on June 14, 2020. Your death is still a mystery. I feel powerless and have repeatedly implored the authorities for the truth.”
“I’m losing patience and feel like giving up. But today, for one last time, I ask everyone who can help with the case to put your hand on your heart and ask: don’t we deserve to know what happened to Sushant? Why has it become a political issue? Why can’t the facts of that day be plainly stated?” Shweta questioned in her note.
She continued, “PLEASE, I am begging—help us move forward as a family. Give us the closure we deserve.”
In another post, Shweta highlighted Sushant’s philanthropic efforts, with the caption: “Someone who wore his heart on his sleeve—was it a fault to be so pure and loving in this harsh world? It’s been 4 years of injustice to Sushant. Does he deserve this?”
People remember Sushant for his roles in films like ‘Kai Po Che’, ‘PK’, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, and ‘Kedarnath’. The last film of Sushant Singh Rajput, ‘Dil Bechara’, got released after his death.
