Sonakshi Sinha’s Psychological Thriller ‘Nikita Roy’ Rescheduled For June 27 Release

Actress Sonakshi Sinha has revealed a new release date for her upcoming psychological thriller, Nikita Roy.

Directed by her brother, Kussh Sinha, the film will now hit cinemas on 27 June 2025.

Sonakshi took to Instagram to share the update, urging fans to ‘mark your calendars’ and prepare for an ‘edge-of-the-seat thriller’ experience.

Originally, Nikita Roy was scheduled for release on 30 May. However, the makers have not disclosed the reasons behind the postponement.

Despite the delay, anticipation around the film remains high.

Star-Studded Cast And Production

Produced by Nicky Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani, and Ankur Takrani under the banners of Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Film, Kratos Entertainment, and Nikita Pai Films, the drama also features prominent actors such as Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar.

Co-producers Anand Mehta, Prakash Nand Bijlani, Shakti Bhatnagar, Mehnaaz Shaikh, and Prem Raj Joshi have also contributed to the project.

Filming And Personal Reflections

Sonakshi wrapped up the film’s 35-day shoot in London in March this year.

Reflecting on her experience, she described the shoot as ‘great’ and ‘very special’, especially as it marked her brother’s directorial debut.

She praised the ensemble cast, saying it inspired her to ‘do more and better’.

Sharing screen space with veteran actor Paresh Rawal was a particular highlight, which Sonakshi called ‘an honour’.

She added that despite the challenges, the shoot was ‘so much more enjoyable’ thanks to the committed team.

Sonakshi’s Tollywood Debut

In addition to Nikita Roy, Sonakshi is preparing for her Tollywood debut with Jatadhara, a supernatural fantasy thriller directed by Venkat Kalyan.

The film stars Sudheer Babu in the lead role, with Shilpa Shirodkar, Rain Anjali, and Divya Vij also featuring prominently.
