‘Slumdog – 33 Temple Road’: Vijay Sethupathi’s Action Entertainer Wraps Shooting

Director Puri Jagannadh announced on Saturday that his upcoming action entertainer, ‘Slumdog – 33 Temple Road’, has completed shooting.

Vijay Sethupathi plays the lead role in the film, which has generated considerable interest among cinema fans.

The makers have yet to confirm the film’s release date. They plan to release it in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

A few days before the announcement, the makers unveiled Zarina Wahab’s first-look poster. She plays Zubaida, a character the director described as a woman whose life combines love and struggle.

The team has released a glimpse of Tabu’s character, Gauri Hegde, a Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. The footage portrays her as a fearless and powerful officer who confronts people without hesitation.

In one scene, Gauri tells Vijay Sethupathi’s character, “In our style, we first shoot and then talk.”

Samyuktha plays the female lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi, while Kannada actor Duniya Vijay features in a pivotal role. Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh round out the supporting cast.

Puri Jagannadh is producing the film alongside Charmme Kaur and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla.

National Award-winning music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his work on ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Animal’, is composing the soundtrack.

The film began shooting in July last year. Its pan-India release and ensemble cast have helped build anticipation ahead of the forthcoming release-date announcement.
