The auditorium at Janpath, Delhi, was transformed into a vibrant stage of divine artistry on August 4th, as the Krishna Kala Foundation presented a mesmerizing Shiv Parvati Vivah dance drama in celebration of Hariyali Teej.
Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Anu Sinha, President of the Krishna Kala Foundation, and co-director Suman ji, the event showcased a rich tapestry of dance and theater, bringing to life the mythological love story of Lord Shiva and Parvati. The performance featured a stellar cast of dance and theater artists from across the country, including Aman Pandey, Brijesh Kumari, Dr. Pooja Tripathi, Monica, Neha, Anya, Priyanshi, Sneha Bisht Santushti, Komal, Mukesh, Mudit, Aman, Sandeep, Himpi, Abhishek Yadav, Rakhi Sharma, Adhya Pandey, Sunil Vadhanin, Sameer, and Praveen Vijay Sinha, among others.
The evening commenced with a reverent Ganesh Vandana, setting a sacred tone for the event. This was followed by a series of captivating performances, including the evocative depiction of the Daksha and Shiv Sati episode. The audience was then treated to the powerful Shiva Tandava, the birth of Parvati, and the revered dialogues of Narada and the Himalayas.
The drama’s narrative skillfully wove together Parvati’s penance and the ensuing dialogues between Ram and Shiv, highlighting the intricate preparations for the divine marriage. The program also featured enchanting dance sequences portraying Parvati’s rituals and the joyous moments of her vidaai, concluding with a heartfelt bhajan, aarti, and stuti vandana.
However, the performance was attended by numerous dignitaries from Delhi and NCR, who were enthralled by the seamless integration of art, culture, religion, and faith. Dr. Anu Sinha and Suman ji’s direction aimed to create a rich, multi-dimensional experience that resonated deeply with the audience.
