It’s time for a new actor to take over the part, the movie’s director, Farhan Akhtar, wrote in a lengthy piece he released before the big revelation. The moment has come to carry on Don’s legacy, and an actor whose ability and range I have long admired will join us in this fresh production. We are hoping that you will treat him with the same kindness and generosity that you gave to Mr. Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In 2025, Don enters a new era. Keep an eye on this.
