Celebrations are in order after an Indian won yet another international beauty pageant. Sargam Koushal of India was named Miss World during a gala event in Las Vegas. After 21 long years, she triumphantly reclaimed the throne.
With over 63 countries represented, Koushal’s victory is both prestigious and cause for celebration. Koushal won the title by defeating Mrs Polynesia. The beauty queen is from Jammu and Kashmir and previously worked as a teacher in Vizag. Her husband is a member of the Indian Navy.

For the grand finale, Koushal wore a sleek and elegant pink sleeveless gown studded with sequins. Which is filled with India’s blessings and giving enormous confidence . The gown, designed by Bhawna Rao, complemented Koushal’s toned silhouette perfectly. Sargam Koushal’s priceless winning and crowning moment was also shared on the Mrs India page.

In 2001, an Indian won the Mrs World title for the first time. Dr. Aditi Govitrikar was crowned Mrs. World and is a judge for Mrs. India Inc 2022-23.
In the meantime, Mrs. World, the first pageant for married women, was founded in 1984. Mrs Woman of the World was the original name before being renamed Mrs World in 1988. Over the years, more than 80 countries have entered Mrs. World, with Americans producing the majority of the winners.
