Salman Khan Unveils Intense Soldier Look In ‘Battle Of Galwan’

Salman Khan has revealed his fierce first look from the upcoming war drama ‘Battle of Galwan’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia.

The poster shows Khan as a rugged soldier, complete with a bloodied face, stern expression, and thick moustache.

His intense gaze signals a powerful performance in this dramatisation of a real-life conflict.

The poster’s tagline reads, “Over 15,000 feet above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.”

It refers to the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces along the disputed Line of Actual Control in Ladakh.

Due to a bilateral agreement, firearms were prohibited in the region, preventing both sides from using conventional weapons during the standoff.

As a result, soldiers engaged in violent hand-to-hand combat, using sticks, stones, and makeshift weapons during the deadly confrontation.

Blood, grit and patriotism

This clash marked the first fatalities in the India-China border conflict in over four decades, escalating regional and diplomatic tensions.

The makers shared the motion poster on the film’s official Instagram page with the caption, “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is ready for the most powerful story of modern India.” Khan also reposted it on his handle.

Chitrangada Singh stars opposite Khan, while three young actors will portray members of his squad.

Himesh Reshammiya has been signed on as the music composer.

The Galwan clash, which occurred in Ladakh’s disputed border zone, marked the first deadly face-off between the two nations in over four decades.

The soldiers used improvised weapons like stones and sticks, resulting in several casualties on both sides.

While the film’s release date remains under wraps, it is among Khan’s most anticipated projects following Sikandar.

In other developments, Khan is also set to reunite with Saajan co-star Sanjay Dutt in another upcoming project reportedly titled Ganga Ram.

Battle of Galwan promises a gritty, emotional tribute to one of India’s most dramatic military standoffs in recent history.
