Salman Khan To Build 19-Floor Hotel In Bandra

Bollywood power players have long felt secure investing their millions in the city’s thriving real estate market and purchasing prestigious properties.
One of them is the handsome heartthrob Salman Khan. The Khans, Salman’s family, however, intend to erect a hotel on a prominent seaside property in Carter Road, Bandra.

Salman Khan’s new home

The area held the residential Starlet CHS, where the Khans had purchased units and had previously planned to rebuild the property as a residential structure. According to building drawings approved by the BMC and reviewed by this newspaper, the hotel will be 19 stories tall. The family’s plans, though, appear to have changed. The actor’s mother, Salma Khan, who is depicted as the property’s owner, submitted the hotel construction application over a year ago.

The Khans’ architect, Sapre & Associates, presented an updated and amended design for a “commercial centrally air-conditioned building with a height of 69.90 meters” in accordance with the city’s new Development Control and Promotion Regulation (DCPR-2034).

Three-level basements, a cafe, and a restaurant on the first and second floors, a gym and swimming pool on the third floor, a service floor on the fourth floor, a convention center on the fifth and sixth levels, and hotel rooms on the seventh through nineteenth floors are all included.

A spokesman for the actor said when asked for comment that she would check with his office and get back to her.

Ground real estate: Stars are heavily invested in land in Mumbai

The family of Bollywood star Salman Khan wants to build a multi-story hotel on a prime Carter Road property. Salim Khan, a seasoned screenwriter and the father of Salman said to TOI in 2011 that he frequently purchases real estate for his family, which includes Salman.

The family’s site has not yet shown any signs of construction, but there is now a structure there that will need to be demolished to make room for a hotel.

Another prominent figure from Bollywood who is thought to have significant real estate investments is the action actor John Abraham. He acquired a great Union Park site in 2009 from the Rattanshas, a Parsi family living next to the Petit school. Abraham has no imminent intentions to advance the plot, according to a source close to the actor.
